I ask my representative in Congress to change federal law to allow state legislatures or the federal government to oversee the implementation of a regulated and ethically sound organ donor compensation program. Such a program would offer meaningful financial incentives to a) families who agree to donate the organs of a family member who has died (known as cadavaric donation) and b) to anyone who is willing to donate his or her kidney while alive.
